We are designing a rustic mountain chapel for a family in conjunction with the design of their custom mountain home. Tucked in a quiet corner of their property in the woods, it will be a place for them to escape the usual distractions and pray quietly, either alone or in a small group.

One of the primary challenges of winter construction in the mountains is timing and scheduling. If you build in the mountains, limiting the amount of time of winter construction is a common goal. While it is not the ideal situation, building construction can still be done outside in the winter, even in areas with freezing temperatures and lots of snow.
